AWF Donates £30,000 To Rehab Charity Focus 12

The Amy Winehouse Foundation, represented by Mitch and Jane Winehouse, has donated £30,000 to a rehabilitation charity in Suffolk.

Focus 12, which helps people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, received a cheque from the Foundation on February 24, with the donation being used to sponsor a full-time place for youngsters battling their addiction.

Focus12 Chief Executive Chip Somers said: “We are tremendously grateful for this donation, which will help us to make a real difference to the lives of young people in crisis.”

Mitch and Jane also took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which took place to officially launch Focus 12’s new therapy centre The Annexe, which will offer counselling to patients suffering from depression and anxiety.

  1. This is a great act for kindness on behalf of Amy Winehouse. She could have been saved, if only proper intervention was made. Hoping for the money to help a lot of victims to recover. Great article. Thanks for sharing!
