The Amy Winehouse Foundation, represented by Mitch and Jane Winehouse, has donated £30,000 to a rehabilitation charity in Suffolk.
Focus 12, which helps people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, received a cheque from the Foundation on February 24, with the donation being used to sponsor a full-time place for youngsters battling their addiction.
Focus12 Chief Executive Chip Somers said: “We are tremendously grateful for this donation, which will help us to make a real difference to the lives of young people in crisis.”
Mitch and Jane also took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which took place to officially launch Focus 12′s new therapy centre The Annexe, which will offer counselling to patients suffering from depression and anxiety.
